In the CSC, we have several team levels available to meet the needs of our community. We have everything from a "premier" level experience with our "black level" teams to developmental teams with our "white level" teams. Whether you're just learning the game or you are an advanced player looking to make it at the next level, we offer a pathway for you!
Overview: Black level teams are our "premier" and most advanced level teams that we offer in the CSC.
Overview: Pre-Black level teams are advanced level teams that we are encouraged will develop into a black level team in the near future, but they are still working towards that goal.
Overview: Red level make up the majority of travel teams in the CSC. Although these are not labeled as "premier" teams, they are still very competitive and allow our players to develop and play soccer at a high level.
Overview: Don't think these teams can't compete at a high level. Because we have so many teams in the CSC, sometimes the margin of skill between a "red" and "white" level team is very small. In many instances, both red and white teams at any particular age group are very competitive. Of course, players have the opportunity each season to make the next "level" team. This is determined by a combination of a coaches score for the season along with tryouts which are held each summer. In the past, we've had "white level" players move all the way up to black level teams! One of our favorite examples of this is Ross Showalter, who started on a white level team, eventually made it to the black level team at that age group, and was the last All-American at Clarence High School! We pride ourselves on a fair tryout process and players are moved by team level from year to year.
Overview: Our blue level teams are typically created out of necessity if we already have 2/3 or more teams at the younger age groups. The skill level can be similar to white level teams, or below that level depending on the talent level at the specific age group.
