Referee Evaluation Form

Please provide feedback on our Referee's performance. This helps us understand areas we need to concentrate on during our yearly training. Remember, positive feedback is just as helpful as negative feedback. Thank you.

Referee and AR Programs

Our House League soccer program is a great opportunity for our kids (12 years and older) to learn how to become soccer referees and make some money while doing so.  We offer our own in-house House League Referee Training class to get them certified as a CSC House League Referee (this is not the same certification needed to officiate travel and high school games.)

2024 Season

Welcome to the 2024 House Referee Page. Please read the details carefully as the referee guidelines for this year have changed as we work to meet the requirements set by the NYS.

QUALIFICATIONS

In order to be considered to be a referee and be given games during the 2024 House league season, all applicants must:

  • Must be at least 12-years-old (as of 7/31/2024) and must be an experienced soccer player (house and/or travel) with a strong knowledge of the game.
  • Submit an application online prior to class using the link below.
  • Complete our House League Referee Training and pass the qualification test to certify as a CSC House League Referee.
  • Note: We will accept the first 45 that apply, any that apply after that may be placed on the waitlist. (*The registration system may not tell you that you are on the waitlist.)

TRAINING

This year's training will be done in the classroom at the clubhouse and on the fields at CSC.  We will offer several sessions with the first one starting in Mid-July.  The training program will be divided into 3 areas:

  • Video learning- Students will review a series of videos on their own
  • On Field Training - Our Referee  Manager, Paul Gulde, will run the training and will discuss the videos, review the laws of the game, and answer any questions.
  • Test- A final test will be administered for the student to complete

Referees should plan to spend no less than 6-8 hours in order to complete certification.

We are no longer accepting applications, as we have reached capacity for the 2023 season
