Clarence Soccer Club is a volunteer based club. It is because of you that we can provide our children with such wonderful soccer opportunities.
As part of the registration process, each family makes a deposit towards our volunteer requirement. House families pay $75 and travel families pay $100. If you register multiple children separately, you may get charged twice for this deposit. In that event, please contact me immediately so I can refund any additional deposits.
In order to have your volunteer deposit refunded, you must complete one work session per family, not per player. Some people think they're being of assistance by working more than one session, however, this makes it difficult for other families to fulfill their duty and earn their refund. Please do not sign up for more than one session unless an email goes out asking for extra help. If you sign up for a slot and do not show, you will forfeit your volunteer deposit. Failure to show up creates problems for those in need of the volunteers, as well as expects the other volunteers to do extra work to make up for your absence. It is important that you are signing up for a slot that matches the league(s) for which your child is a participant. It will be noted whether or not an opening is for travel or house. There are numerous opportunities throughout the season to earn back your deposit. Our biggest travel event is the Clarence Classic Soccer Tournament. House families will find that the snack bar is the biggest volunteer need.
We will be using the sign up program - www.signup.com. This website is user friendly; allowing for easier sign up and slot switching.

Volunteer at our annual summer camps, first touch academy or at the CSC Snack Bar!
Generally, volunteer positions are set aside for parents looking for their volunteer deposit refund. If you, as a high schooler, take your parent's place in that position, it will not count towards community service hours if you are looking for the family reimbursement. Sometimes we do have a need for extra help at the snack bar, set/clean-up, or the tournament. In that case, if it is an additional spot to your family obligation, community service will be signed off upon.
