Little Critters

Little Critters Program

The Little Critters program is designed to introduce new players to organized sports and team activities. Soccer is the perfect sport for this!  Your little ones will be exposed to team activities and games that keep in mind the attention span and abilities of our youngest (and smallest) new athletes. This program does not include end-to-end soccer games with goals. It will focus on beginner skills, agility, and most of all... FUN!

The format is as follows: We will meet as a big group to start each session with a warm-up.  After warm-up, we will divide into our teams with each team starting at a different skill station.  After some time at that station they will then rotate to the next station, etc.  Each station is designed to focus on different soccer skills and have some fun too.

The stations are staffed by high school volunteers and overseen by adult volunteers.  But parents are encouraged to get involved as much as possible (playing the games, encouraging the Critters, helping out when needed) so please stick around and be part of the fun.

In the interest of providing the proper ratio of instructors to players, the Little Critters program is capped at 150 players! Once it fills up, we will create a waitlist, so don't delay - register today!

2023 Season Information

For our first session on Saturday 8/5, please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled starting time and meet by the pavilion.  There, you will check in and receive your Little Critters-Tim Hortons jersey.  Please have your Critter wear their jersey to each session.

When we get to the field, we will meet as a big group to start each session with a warm-up.  We will then break into our teams and go through our stations.  The Little Critter players will travel to four different stations, focusing on different soccer skills and games at each station.  We will be using some high school volunteers to man the stations so please be kind and courteous with them.

Parents will play an important role in our program.  As the athletes travel from station to station, we ask parents to get involved as much as you can (playing the games, encouraging the Critters, helping out when needed).

Please have all athletes wear sneakers or soccer cleats, bring a water bottle and a size 3 ball if available to you.

(Note - Please do not come if player has a temperature or not feeling well.)
